Privacy Policy
This Policy is the standalone privacy notice for CueCast services offered internationally by BladePipe Inc.
BladePipe Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “BladePipe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, transfer, disclose, and protect personal information when you use CueCast products and services, including our international website, SaaS console, browser extension, documentation, and customer support (collectively, the “Service”), and describes the rights available to you.
Please read this Policy carefully before using the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the processing described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
This Policy and our Terms of Use together form important terms governing your use of the Service. If they conflict, provisions that specifically address personal-information processing will control for that issue.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to the features and scenarios we provide through the Service. If a particular product line or service has a separate privacy notice or supplemental terms that conflict with this Policy, that specific notice will govern within its scope.
2. How We Collect and Use Personal Information
“Personal information” means information recorded electronically or otherwise that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information. We process personal information lawfully, fairly, as necessary, and in good faith.
2.1 Information you provide
When you register an account, request a trial, purchase or renew the Service, participate in an event, contact us, or submit feedback, we may collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name, job title, and communications with us. If you decline to provide information that is necessary, we may be unable to provide the relevant feature or service.
2.2 Information generated through use of the Service
To provide features such as recording, editing, and replaying test cases, generating execution reports, and managing results, we process configuration and business data associated with your account and projects. This may include project, case, and step metadata; execution records and result summaries; and troubleshooting information such as browser type, extension version, and summarized error logs.
When you use the browser extension in an environment you are authorized to operate, the processed data may include page structure or text visible to you. You must use the Service only in lawfully authorized environments, such as systems you own or test environments for which you have permission, and must avoid submitting another person’s personal information without authorization.
2.3 Log and technical information
To keep the Service secure, stable, and compliant, we may collect device or browser type, operating system, IP address, access time, navigation path, and crash or diagnostic logs. Where the law does not treat certain data as personal information, we may also process statistics that do not identify a particular person.
2.4 Purposes of use
Depending on the Service actually provided, we may use the information above to:
- register accounts, sign users in, verify identity, and perform our contract with you;
- deliver, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, prevent fraud, and detect abuse;
- send necessary notices, product updates, or service information with your consent or as permitted by law;
- comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from regulators, courts, or administrative authorities; and
- carry out other purposes with your consent.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and perform analytics. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may prevent some features from working. We seek to distinguish personal from non-personal information and apply legal protections when data is combined. If the law where you live treats an identifier, such as certain IP information, as personal information, we will protect it accordingly.
To understand visits to our websites, blog, and documentation and to evaluate service performance or advertising conversions, we may use third-party analytics or attribution services. Those services may process pages visited, referral sources, device and browser information, and similar data through cookies, web beacons, or related technologies, subject to their own privacy policies and applicable consent requirements.
4. Processing by Vendors, Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure
4.1 Processing by vendors
We may engage qualified service providers, such as cloud-hosting, email or SMS, analytics, and customer-support providers, to process information for us. We supervise those providers and require them to follow this Policy and our instructions and to use reasonable security measures.
4.2 Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except when: (1) you provide separate consent; (2) sharing is necessary to meet a legal obligation or respond to a lawful compulsory request; or (3) information is transferred as part of a merger, division, asset transfer, or similar transaction, in which case we will notify you as required by law and generally require the recipient to remain bound by this Policy.
4.3 Transfer and public disclosure
We do not transfer your personal information to another company, organization, or individual unless permitted by law or with your express consent. We generally disclose personal information publicly only with your express consent or when required by law.
5. Storage and Security
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. We use commonly accepted technical and organizational measures, such as access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, audits, and staff training, to protect information. No security measure can guarantee absolute security.
BladePipe operates internationally. Your information may be processed in countries or regions other than where you live, including the United States and locations in which our service providers operate. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law.
6. Your Rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may have rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete personal information; withdraw consent; restrict processing; request an explanation; and complain to a regulator. You may submit a request using the contact information below. To protect security, we may verify your identity. We may reject or charge a reasonable cost for requests that are manifestly repetitive, exceed reasonable limits, or conflict with regulatory requirements, where permitted by law.
7. Children
The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information in violation of applicable law, we will seek to delete or anonymize it promptly.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to third-party websites, products, or services. Those third parties are not governed by this Policy. Review their privacy notices before providing information to them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you through this page, an in-product notice, or another method permitted by law. Your continued use of the Service after an update means that you have read and accepted the revised Policy.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions, comments, or suggestions about this Policy or our processing of personal information, or want to exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
